Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the List++ application (package: anniealexlabs.com.thelist) developed and published by AnEx Studios Apps. List++ is available on Android, iOS, Desktop, and Web. This policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our application.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from your Google account. If you choose anonymous sign-in, no personal information is collected.
- User-generated content. Lists, list items, checklists, checklist items, tags, notes, item characteristics, prices, and quantities you create within the app.
- Media uploads. Images and audio files you upload to your lists, which are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.
- Collaboration data. When you share a list, checklist, or move session, the email addresses of invited collaborators are stored to manage access.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics events. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. Events we track include: sign-in and sign-out; list creation, deletion, duplication, and customization; checklist creation, deletion, duplication, and completion; item additions, deletions, type conversions, and check/uncheck actions; media uploads and downloads; collaboration actions (invite creation, redemption, and revocation); move mode operations (create, delete, transfer, return home); clipboard and undo/redo actions; search queries and filter usage; settings changes; tag creation and deletion; and application errors.
- User properties. Firebase Analytics records the following user properties: authentication method, selected theme color, dark mode preference, and language preference.
- Device information. Standard information collected by Firebase Analytics, including device model, operating system version, app version, screen resolution, and locale.
- Advertising identifier. The Google Advertising ID is collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to serve advertisements.
1.3 Information Collected by Third-Party SDKs
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). May collect advertising identifiers, device information, and inferred interests for the purpose of serving personalized advertisements. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Analytics. Collects usage statistics and device metadata. See Firebase Privacy Information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the List++ service, including storing your lists, items, checklists, and media.
- Enable collaboration features by managing shared access via email-based permissions.
- Authenticate your account and maintain your session across devices.
- Synchronize your data across devices and enable offline access.
- Analyze app usage patterns to improve features and user experience (Firebase Analytics).
- Display advertisements (Google Mobile Ads).
- Diagnose errors and improve app stability.
3. How We Share Your Information
- With collaborators. When you share a list, checklist, or move session, your email address is visible to other collaborators. Items, checklists, and media within shared resources are accessible to all collaborators based on their permission level (Read or Write).
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Analytics) and Google AdMob to operate the app. These services process data on our behalf under their respective data processing terms.
- For legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure via Firebase services (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Authentication).
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest using Google Cloud's default encryption.
- Firestore security rules enforce user-scoped access: you can only read and write your own data, with explicit exceptions for resources shared with you as a collaborator.
- Anonymous users' data is associated with a Firebase-generated user ID that is not linked to any personal identifier.
- Media files in Cloud Storage are protected by Firebase security rules that enforce authenticated access.
5. Data Retention
- Account and content data. Your account information and user-generated content (lists, items, checklists, tags, media) are retained for as long as your account exists.
- Analytics data. Firebase Analytics retains user-level data for 14 months and event-level data for 2 months by default.
- Advertising data. Advertising data retention is governed by Google's advertising data policies.
- Deleted content. When you delete a list, item, checklist, or media file within the app, it is permanently removed from our servers. There is no trash or soft-delete recovery period.
6. Your Rights and Data Deletion
- Delete your account. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all associated data — including lists, items, checklists, tags, media, and ongoing move sessions — will be permanently removed from Firebase.
- Delete individual content. You can delete individual lists, items, checklists, tags, and media at any time within the app.
- Leave shared resources. You can leave any shared list, checklist, or move session, which removes your email from the collaborator list and revokes your access.
- Anonymous accounts. Data associated with anonymous accounts can be removed by signing out or uninstalling the app, as there is no way to recover an anonymous session once ended.
- Data requests. To request a copy of your data, request deletion, or exercise any other data rights, contact us at anexstudios.apps@gmail.com.
7. Children's Privacy
List++ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 8. Offline Data
List++ uses Firebase Firestore offline persistence to cache your data on your device so the app works without an internet connection. This cached data is stored locally on your device and is subject to your device's own security protections. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data.

List++ uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of List++ after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
